Item Grouping for Maximum Clarity
Use Phases to Structure your Workload
Introducing Our New Workflow Structure: Phases
Nexus is designed to be as customizable and functional as possible, so it can suit your industry’s needs! To that end, we’ve introduced a new structure to organize the work on your Projects: Phases.
Phases are a structural tool that you can use to divide Items into groups. You could do this in a time-based manner, i.e. the “first phase” of your Project could be one set of items and the “second phase” could be another, whether you categorize that based on a time period, such as months; or as a grouping of items that must get completed before the next set.
You could also use Phases to denote groupings of work based on other categories, such as having a Phase for each team on a project, or a Phase for each type of work being done on a Project. Or have a Phase designed around a specific project deliverable! It’s completely up to you, and designed to work in whatever way suits your project best!
Phases can also summarize certain information, for instance, Time Allocated per Phase and Time Spent per Phase.
Customize Phases to Suit your Workflow
The key takeaway here is that however suits your business and Projects best, Phases will make structuring the work and/or materials on your projects even easier and more efficient. You can even have different types of Projects with different Phase structure needs – we do in our own work at ProWorkflow!
