ProWorkflow's Commitment to Security
Keeping Your Data Safe from AI Breaches
Concerns Arise from Asana’s AI Server’s Client Data Leaks
At ProWorkflow, we’re aware that many users of project management software are concerned about the security of that software; and that in particular there are a lot of heightened concerns at the moment in light of the security breaches seen over the last month at Asana which resulted in client data being leaked from their use of AI servers.
We understand the severity of an event like this, so we’d like to take this opportunity to discuss ProWorkflow’s commitment to security, particularly with respects to AI.
AI and Project Management Tools
With the advent of AI as a new technology, there is a rush to incorporate AI into project management tools and software development. When this is done too quickly without proper security measures and consideration, client data is at risk of being compromised.
Security Measures at ProWorkflow to Prevent AI Caused Security Breaches
ProWorkflow’s developers do not connect anything with client data to any AI program, nor does any AI program have access to our servers. We are very careful that use of AI is limited to non-propriety code, and client information is never fed into AI during the course of development. Nor does our software, neither our new Nexus platform nor our old Classic system, use AI to function. Additionally, when we designed our APIs we ensured that data was strongly segregated between each account. This is designed intentionally to mean you cannot accidentally access someone else’s data and they cannot access yours.
Our entire company meets regularly with our Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to ensure we are all up to date on security compliance. We have also recently begun having company-wide consultations with our vCISO specifically regarding the limited use of AI that some of our staff do engage with, and ensure that we are making the most informed, and most secure choices possible when doing so.
Ultimately we want you to know that we take security seriously, and that we are just as concerned by the kind of security breach seen at Asana as you are. We want to assure you that we are taking all possible steps to maintain our high standards of security and privacy. You can view our privacy policy on our website here, and our data processing agreement here. We are also ISO27001 certified and GDPR compliant.
Whenever you have concerns about security, or you want to talk more about ProWorkflow’s commitment to working to keep your data secure, we welcome you to reach out us, and we’d be happy to discuss it with you further.
