New Features and Improvements for January-February 2026
Welcome to the first in our new blog series: release notes! In these blogs we’ll introduce you to the exciting updates in our latest development releases. We’re always making improvements to ProWorkflow Nexus, and these release note blogs will help you learn about them.
Feature Improvement: Additional Units of Measurement Options
We’ve added additional options to the available Units of Measurement, including Imperial units. You can toggle off or on the Units of Measurement you wish to have active in your Units of Measurement settings:
New Feature: Staff Pay Rates (In and Out)
In our blog introducing the financial suite we talked about the new feature that allows you to set split rates for an Item; related to that feature we’ve also introduced a feature that allows you to set default rates for both what your staff cost you and what your staff bill at. These settings can be found in your Hourly Rates Library on the “Cost & Charge Rate Defaults” tab:
New Feature: Part Allocation of Time (Split Time Allocation)
In addition to being able to split rates on an Item, you can also now split the hours allocated. Splitting the allocated hours allows you to assign specific amounts of time to individual staff members, rather than leaving it up to staff to figure out how the hours allocated to an Item are meant to be split up.
New Feature: Embed Google Maps
You can now choose to embed Google Maps in both Project Descriptions and Item Descriptions. Simply click the “Insert” button, choose Google Maps, and add the URL of the map you wish to embed:
Feature Improvement: Invoice Time and Fixed Items on One Invoice
With our latest releases we have made some significant improvements to our Invoicing feature. One of those improvements is the ability to include both Time and Fixed Items on a single invoice. This means that you can easily invoice for both work done and any materials/goods that you are charging your client for:
Feature Improvement: Time Marked as Invoiced
Another improvement we’ve made to our Invoicing feature is that Time which has been invoiced is now marked as Invoiced. This keeps you from double invoicing your clients! We’ve also added the ability to easily see at a glance what you have invoiced for vs. what you need to invoice for on the Time tab of your Project, helping you to stay on top of your invoicing and not miss getting paid for the work that has been done on your projects:
New Feature: Added “Classic” Pages for both Quotes and Invoices
For those of you who are transitioning to Nexus from our Classic platform, we’ve added a feature that allows you to easily access any historical Quotes and Invoices that were created in Classic. Both the Quotes and Invoices modules now have a “Classic” section:
New Feature: Added “Financial” module to Homepage with Quotes and Invoices Data
Your homepage now features a module that gives you at-a-glance data on your Quotes and Invoices in either Monthly or Weekly time periods:
New Feature: Compare Time Spent vs. Time Allocated time on Time Allocation Popover
We’ve added a new feature that allows you to easily see what percentage of time has been tracked on an Item vs. the amount of time that has been allocated to that Item. In the screenshot below we see that the user has been allocated 2 hours but has tracked 14 hours and 15 minutes meaning they are at 713% over their allocated time:
New Feature: File Space Manager
The File Space Manager allows you to easily view, download, or delete files that have been added to your account. You can find the File Space Manager in your settings:
New Feature: MYOB Integration
We have now added the ability to integrate with both MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Essentials:
