While we’ve launched our Nexus project management software to new clients and will soon be launching it to existing clients, that doesn’t mean we’re done developing – far from it! Our Development team is always hard at work refining existing features and developing exciting new ones. 

Let’s cover some of the new key features that we’ll soon be launching on Nexus.

Improved Timesheet Page to Track Project Progress

Our new Timesheet Page is the same one that many of you knew and loved in Classic, but with enhanced Nexus Functionality. You can now track time against any Item that you’ve enabled as trackable for time, whether that is a Task or another type of Item. Our easy-to-use drag-and-drop Timesheet is now colour–coded for easier at-a-glance viewing. Track time directly on the Timesheet, on your Project Details page in the Items List, or use our time tracking clock, conveniently located at the top of your screen.

 

New Navigation Bar for Smooth Project Management

Our easy-to-use interface just got even easier. We’ve simplified your page header and moved your navigation to a new sidebar – this super functional section appears on every page but can be easily minimized to control your view, so it best suits your project workflow.

You still have easy access to your Homepage, Projects, Items, Time, Quotes, Invoices, Staff, Clients, Notes, Reports, and Settings. If you’re on our Advanced Plan, your Custom Links will also appear in the side navigation now.  

In the minimized view of this panel, clicking on an icon will take you to the main page for that section. In the expanded view of this panel, you can also choose to expand sections and then click on a sub-page of navigation.

 

Better-Organized Project Details Page to Manage Workloads

The Navigation Bar isn’t the only revamped layout in Nexus – we’ve also further refined our Project Details Page! All your main sections—Details, Insights, Items, Messages, and Private Notes — are now separate tabs at the top of the page. No more scrolling to get to the section you want; just a quick click and you’re there! Our Nexus design is all about efficient project management features so you can optimize your workflows.

 

Oversee Projects with New Projects List and Items List Pages

We have a newly released and revamped Items List page, which replaces the Tasks List page from Classic. Both the Items List page and the Projects List page feature new filtering and grouping options for your work lists. Easily filter by Workstage to view only the work you want to view or use the Grouping tool to group your Projects/Items in the way that best works for you.

 

 

Visualize Project Schedules with Kanban and Gantt Chart Improvements

Our Kanban and Gantt Charts are both improved from their Classic versions as well, offering advanced features for efficient project management. Kanban board views now have the option to minimize board sections and filter by Workstage. These new features enable you to drill down on your board and view the work that’s most important to you at any given time, facilitating more strategic planning.

Our new Gantt Charts include options for zooming your view in or out, and scaling to view by Day, Week, Month, or Quarter to see entire project lifecycles. We’ve re-designed this feature, for maximized customizability to suit your needs. Our new export feature also has many options available, allowing you to create a PDF tailored to your work.
