Get to Know ProWorkflow’s New and Improved Nexus Software
Welcome to Nexus! We here at ProWorkflow are proud to present our brand-new platform. Nexus is the stellar ProWorkflow project management software you know and love, but improved with fantastic new tools and an easy-on-the-eye redesign.
Here, we’re going to give you a quick overview of Nexus’s new features. This kicks off a new blog series where we’ll educate you on exciting enhancements and share stories of how Nexus can be a powerful tool in your industry.
We’re all about productivity and efficiency, so let’s dive right into two notably different aspects that will make your workflows even easier: Items and Workstages!
Items: A game-changer in project workflow management
If you’re familiar with our Classic version of ProWorkflow, Items replace Tasks – but they also have even more functionality! Like Tasks, Items can be used for project time tracking, but they also allow you to track materials, quantities, and any other measurable information you’d like. Action item management helps you stay on budget, improve project profitability, and plan effectively.
We have a large library of suggested Item Types ready to go, but you can also edit the label, description details, and even the icon of any available options. Here’s a glimpse at just some of what we have available to get you started:
Items can also be used to easily convert Project variables into factors in your Quotes and Invoices, keeping your workflow streamlined and moving. We’ll get into that more in a later blog post, but the key takeaway here is their versatility. They’re like Lego, you can use them to build whatever you want, however you want!
Workstages: Managing progress made easy
Working hand-in-hand with Items are Workstages. Workstages allow you to easily identify and modify the status of both Projects and Items. You can use Workstages to label the stage of your Project or Item. Are you on hold or waiting for a delivery? Are you planning but not yet working? Label it with a Workstage! Built for efficiency, this feature keeps your team informed of theItem’s timeline and helps manage it through every phase until completion.
Workstages can also have a more tangibly functional impact on your Project/Items. For example, you can use Workstages to mark a Project or Item as completed or deleted to remove them from your list of active work. Plus, with the ease of Workstages, if you change your mind, you can just switch the Workstage back to active status to bring it back into your list.
Workstages are also color-coded for increased visibility and organization. Customize not only your Workstage labels but also their colors to better manage multiple projects and phases. Workstages can also be used to create lists that filter both Items and Projects.
